🧘The power of doing nothing

Well, there are a lot of videos available on YouTube related to this topic—but why I’m writing about it today feels important and a little different. I have something personal to share.

Last Sunday, I gave myself the gift of doing absolutely nothing—a full day of total bed rest. After working six straight days (Monday through Saturday), I think you’ll agree: we all need at least one day to relax and recharge before another busy week begins. Am I right? Let me know in the comments!

Doing nothing doesn’t mean we’re falling behind on our goals. At 11 a.m. last Sunday, lying in bed, a thought crossed my mind: “Relaxation is so important. I feel like I’m truly enjoying the present moment. I just have to feel it.” Too filmy? I know!

🌼 A couple of hours later—after brunch with my wife—I found myself back in bed around 1:30 p.m., reflecting again. This time, about food. I realized how essential it is to savor every bite. These days, we eat while scrolling through social media or watching TV. But where is the food going? We don’t even enjoy a single chew. Maybe I’m going deep here, but it’s reality.

It genuinely feels good to slow down and simply be. Take care of yourself, listen to your body—and don’t forget your surroundings.

🧠 Even in business, this principle applies. I’m not a business owner, but here’s a perspective I’ve come to value: when we stop trying to do everything ourselves, we often get better results. A bit miraculous, isn’t it? Many people transitioning from jobs to entrepreneurship struggle because they’re used to completing every task themselves. In business, delegating tasks to those more skilled or experienced can be a game-changer. If someone is better than you at a task, let them handle it—chances are, they’ll do it faster and better.

Speaking from personal experience: I write blogs, film short reels for Instagram, produce long videos for YouTube—and try to handle almost everything myself. But this often wastes time. When I delegate to friends or colleagues, the workload lightens, and the outcome improves.

šŸŽØ Doing nothing isn’t laziness—it’s a reset for your brain. It fosters creativity, enhances mental clarity, and helps reduce stress. Find a quiet place: your garden, a nearby park, or even a public library. Listen to your thoughts. Let your mind calm down. You’ll feel a deep sense of relief and discover joy in the present moment.

✨ Conclusion

In a world that glorifies busyness, I’ve discovered the quiet strength in stillness. Rest isn’t just a pause—it’s a powerful tool for self-awareness and renewal. Whether you’re chasing deadlines or building dreams, remember this: doing nothing may be exactly what you need to move forward.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments—and if you’ve ever experienced the magic of simply… being.😊
